About Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a healing art that dates back over two centuries. Developed by Samuel Hahnemann in the late 18th century, this alternative medical system is founded on the principle of “like cures like.”
It operates on the belief that a substance that can cause symptoms in a healthy person can also stimulate healing when administered in a highly diluted and potentised form to a person suffering from similar symptoms.
At the core of homeopathy lies the understanding that everyone is unique, and their symptoms are an expression of an underlying imbalance in their vital force or life energy.
Homeopathy stimulates a shift in your vital force using potentised medicines.
The goal of homeopathy is not to suppress symptoms but to address the root cause of the illness, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Learn more at The Art of Homeopathy: Time-honoured Healing.
Homeopathy does not attempt to separate your body from your mind and spirit. A Homeopath understands that everything is interconnected and will not try reducing symptoms into parts. The beauty of Homeopathy is found in its simplicity, we view symptoms as signposts, not something to go to war on.
After a session of deep listening, I prescribe a remedy for the person sitting in front of me – that is, their emotional state, their thoughts, their traumas, their physical ailments, habits and quirks, family/genetic history and their constitutional disposition.
Since this medicine treats the person and not the disease, it can help people with many different conditions, chronic or acute. The fundamental tenet of homeopathy is less is best using very small doses of natural substances to stimulate your self-healing abilities.
The added benefit is that homeopathy is a green medicine, that is it’s friendly to the environment – miniscule processing and a little goes a very long way!
